During spring, summer and fall, the tram departs at 9:00 A.M. and takes roughly one hour to reach the contact station in False Cape. While passing through the refuge, passengers are likely to see a variety of wildlife, which many BBRF tram drivers can help identify, including: ducks, geese, swans, white-tailed deer, rabbits, foxes, turtles, ospreys, egrets and great blue herons. Once in False Cape, passengers have two hours to hike west to Back Bay, east to the beach and Atlantic Ocean, or south to Wash Woods. Anywhere is great for a picnic. In False Cape State Park, the passengers will be greeted by a ranger or volunteer who will mention the assets of the park, including: historical sites, and wildlife such as those seen in the refuge, feral horses and feral pigs. The tram returns to Little Island City Park at approximately 12:45 P.M.

Founded by Vickie Shufer in 1986, Eco Images offers a variety of experiences to help others connect with nature and enhance their appreciation of the outdoors. She launched her career with the publication of A Coastal Ecology Coloring Book and A Naturalist's Field Guide to Coastal Communities in 1986. Since then she has published a number of nature-related books, both for herself and others. In 1994, she took over the publication of The Wild Foods Forum newsletter, a quarterly publication that provides information on identifying and using wild plants for food. In addition to publications, Vickie also leads groups on nature tours and hosts foraging trips to various locations. These programs will help you explore natural areas and discover their hidden treasures. Participation will increase your awareness and observation skills as you
