In order to avoid congestion at the Oceanfront, take the I-264/Birdneck Road exit. Convenient street signs are displayed at the bottom of the exit ramp and will direct you to your desired Atlantic Avenue location.

and 786 on-street metered spaces. Parking meters have a three-hour time
limit and are enforced.

From the North End of the beach to South Rudee Inlet, and everywhere in between, HRT’s Beach Trolley is convenient, fun way to get from place to place. It’s the way to go should you want to shop at Virginia Beach’s premier mall, go hot-dogging down a water flume at a theme park, visit the Virginia Aquarium & Marine
Center or First Landing State Park, or check out a concert at the Verizon

Beach Access for the Disabled
Access via ramps for the disabled are located at every beach access from 1st to 58th Streets. Wooden ramps that extend all the way to the water's edge are located at 8th and 17th streets. Handicap-accessible wooden walkways that extend from the boardwalk to the water are located at 8th, 17th, 24th, and 30th Streets. Designated disabled on-street parking is at Rudee Loop, 2nd, 6th, 7th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 20th, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 33rd, 34th, 36th, 37th and 38th Streets. Designated disabled off-street parking is available at all municipal parking lots.
Virginia Beach offers the use of two all-terrain wheelchairs at the oceanfront
free of charge to persons with disabilities. The all-terrain wheelchairs
are available for as much as a half-day from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The chairs
are on loan at the 17th and 24th street rental locations at the oceanfront.
